INTERNSHIP

In a fort night, a lot can happen, yet not much has been done. My semester is almost over and I'm happy. Happy because I need a break. I have finished all my school work, yet I haven't done much blogging or personal design work. However, I'm more excited about my internship. I want to get more experience in the fashion industry and I am so eger to learn as much as possible.

I want to know: is coming up with a fashion article as easy as it looks? What goes on while planning a photoshoot? How long does it take to do a photoshoot for a magazine? Well, I will just have to wait until May to find out. Plus, I'm eger to get myself some more proffessional looking clothes. A great reason to change my wardrobe.

Have a good night everyone

THE MICHAEL KORS WAY

MICHAEL KORS

Recently, I have been feeling like my wardrobe has so many things and nothing at the same time. I'm bored of wearing the same thing over and over and I just don't have time to go shopping, nor to stitch myself something.

With attachment coming up, I feel even more unprepared (closet wise). I have to have a more professional look yet ensure that I don't lose my sense of style. Well, I have a different idea.

I'm going to go the Michael Kors way. For those who do not know who Michael Kors is, he is an American fashion designer and a judge on Project Runway. On one of the Project Runway episodes (when they bring back all the designers to recap on the season just before the finale), a viewer asked why he only wears the same thing, a pair of dark blue jeans, a black t-shirt and a black blazer. His answer did not make a lot of sense to me at the time, but now, I understand. While he was younger, he had the opportunity to wear every crazy and fashionable thing. At his age (currently 52), I think he felt it was time to leave it to the younger generation.

Well, I may still be young, but, I'm thinking about getting pieces that work together. Dark blue and black jean; black skirts; t-shirts and blazers. What more do you need?

Sometimes simplicity is all we need.

Have a blessed week.
