Knowing you bra size

Hi people!!

So today, I want to make sure you all know how to measure your bra size!! No more guessing. To be able to look good, you have to have the right support. When shopping for a bra, you will note that bras are sized using numbers and alphabets. The number represents the band size and the alphabet represent the cup size. Knowing your bra size is not as hard as many of us make it out to be. Before you get started, there are a few things that you should take note of:

  • Avoid wearing a bra. If you are going to wear a bra, wear one that does not have an under wire and that has no padding.
  • Get a someone to help you. When you want to get accurate measurements, it is always advisable to get someone to help you. When doing it yourself, you are more prone to errors.
  • Stand in your most natural and comfortable posture. If you do not do this, you are likely to get the wrong measurement.
How to do it:
  1. Using a tape measure, measure (in inches) round your rib cage right under your bust. Ensure that the tape measure is level at the back and the front. Add 5" to your measurement. That is, if you measured 29", after adding 5", you will get 34".
  2. Measure around the fullest part of your bust loosely. Ensure that the tape measure is level at the front and back. Subtract your band size from this measurement. For example 37"-34"=3". The difference is your cup size. How you may ask? if the difference is  0-1"= A cup; 2"= B cup; 3"= C cup; 4"= D cup; 5"= DD cup

Yes ladies, it is that easy. No more bad fitting bras. Get yourself that right fit.

Have a lovely week!!

Predicting the weather

Hello everyone!

Today was a funny day. I was going to school and called a friend before I left the house. She tells me that it's raining so I decide to carry a rain coat, gumboot and a sweater. I regretted this decision because the weather was hot!! I have never been able to predict the weather and this is becomes a real problem for me. I at time wear light clothes for it to be so cold or I wear very warm clothes and then it's super hot. So I used my brains.

Instead of getting caught off guard wearing clothes that just aint working for the weather, wear clothes that suite any weather. I usually wear a top that is good for warm weather and carry a light weight sweater that can keep me warm if the weather changes and can fit in your bag. I also like to carry a leso with me at all times. In cold weather, you can wear it as a scarf or a shawl.

As for the shoes, I bought a pair of leopard print gumboot from Bata that I love. However, sometime it doesn't rain and I end up wearing them in the sun. But, there are shoes that I love even more then my gumboots, my old school sleakers!! :-) I love them. They are great in any weather. Now, if you're the type that loves to give your self a height boost, a good, comfortable pair of wedges is the best way to go. they won't get your feet wet (assuming the water level is low).

With these tips, your sure to look good no matter the weather. No sundresses in the rain. :-)

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
